Have you ever struggled to make a decision?

You think you decided to do something and you're excited about it...but for some reason, things didn't change?

This has definitely happened to me and what I realized is that I didn't really understand what it meant to make a decision!

I didn't understand what it meant to be fully committed to an outcome and how all the actions that I took and the choices that I made had to be in line with that commitment!

No matter what happened to get in the way!

I really love what Jen Sinerco has to say about it:

"So often we pretend we've made a decision when what we've really done is signed up to try until it gets too uncomfortable!"

Yep, been there, done that!

Thinking I was fully committed only until the first hurdle showed up!

It wasn't until I fully understand the power of a real decision that things started to change in my life.

You see, the word decide literally means to "cut off."

Of as Tony Robbins would say it, "to burn the fricking boats!"

Because if you decided, truly decided, there is no going back!

When you have made a decision it means you know you might meet resistance, but you keep going.

You are willing to be uncomfortable, to follow through on things that scare you.

It means you refuse to let yourself off the hook by rationalizing why it would be ok to give in and give up.

It means being able to recognize which behavior is in line with what it is that you actually want and what behavior is not helping.

Remember that once you decide there is so much freedom in that!

It's really the indecision that is so hard!

On the other side of that decision is the life you want, all you have to do is commit to it!

So what do you need to really decide on?

What needs your 100% commitment?

Maybe it's getting a different job, or fixing that relationship, or starting that business, or making that call.

Whatever it is - decide to do it today!
